Officials get first look at Parramore Oaks phase II

The City of Orlando held a “first look” event recently, to highlight a new affordable housing development in the Parramore neighborhood.

“Affordable housing remains one of the biggest challenges that we face here in the city of Orlando,” Mayor Buddy Dyer said.

Parramore Oaks Phase II will add about a hundred units to the project and during the construction preview event officials toured the progress of the apartments and previewed a new, two-story unit. Phase II is expected to be completed in early 2024.

Additionally, both Phase I and Phase II will have access to amenities including a fitness center, a computer lab with office space and a children’s playroom. Furthermore, the building is expected to achieve a Bronze level National Green Building Standard Certification.

The project supports the city’s efforts to ensure residents have access to quality, safe and affordable housing and aligns with recommendations developed with the community in the Parramore Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan.
