The City of Fort Lauderdale is hosting a community meeting tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m., focused on mixed-use zoning in District 3. The meeting is at the Development Services Department Building, located at 700 NW 19th Avenue.
Staff will gather public input on proposed amendments to existing mixed-use zoning standards along major corridors.

The City Commission identified Smart Growth as a City Commission Priority. As part of addressing this goal, and in anticipation of new development applications for residential units along major corridors based on adopted amendments to BrowardNext, Broward County Land Use Plan, Policy 2.16.4. City staff will amend mixed use zoning standards along the major corridors. The intent is to establish form-based regulations that address building and streetscape design standards, as well as transition to adjacent neighborhoods, based on the context of each area.
