During a fundraising event for the upcoming SEA LIFE Florida at Legoland in Orlando, guests signed the newly installed steel beam for the building that will house the aquarium, marking a significant construction milestone.
Work is expected to be completed in 2025. SEA LIFE Florida will have 25 exhibits including a seahorse gallery, an interactive invertebrate touch pool and an underwater tunnel.
Once the sited opens, a curator will apply for project funding from a trust to ensure the donations raised during the structure-signing event will have a direct and positive impact on Florida’s ecosystems locally and across the state.
Merlin Entertainment, Legoland’s parent company, owns and operates SEA LIFE aquariums around the world including one at ICON Park in Orlando.
