West Palm Beach launches free workshop to help minority/women-owned businesses secure contracts

Small and minority/women-owned businesses in West Palm Beach have a valuable new opportunity to expand their reach and compete for government and corporate contracts. The City of West Palm Beach, in partnership with Ultimate Image Coach, is launching a free four-session hybrid workshop titled “How to Respond to RFPs – Transforming Small Business Success.”

Designed to provide hands-on guidance, the workshop will equip small business owners with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, write winning proposals, and secure contracts.

Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from April 9 to 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. in a hybrid format.

  • Sessions 1 and 4: In-person at Mandel Library Auditorium (411 Clematis St., WPB, FL 33401)
  • Sessions 2 and 3: Online via Zoom

Participants will gain practical insights into:

  • Understanding the RFP & procurement process in West Palm Beach
  • Writing compelling proposals that stand out
  • Refining proposals with expert feedback from procurement professionals
  • Presenting a winning pitch & networking with key decision-makers
