Stevens Construction breaks ground on 20,785-sq. ft. health center in LaBelle

Stevens Construction has started construction of Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida’s newest location, located at 169 W. Hickpochee Ave. in LaBelle, the company announced.

Designed in an L-shaped layout, the new 20,785-sq. ft. structure will house pediatrics, dental and social services under one roof. One side of the building will be dedicated to family dental care including 16 dental bays, two X-ray rooms, a sterilization area and a laboratory.

The other side of Family Health Centers will house First Choice Kid Care Pediatrics and Social Services. With an expansive lobby, Family Health Centers will house a separate sick and well patient waiting area, 12 exam rooms and provide lab services.

Support services such as offices, storage and break rooms will be on both sides of the building, which is slated for completion in spring 2026.

Stevens Construction provided nine months of preconstruction prior to the construction starting; guiding Family Health Centers through the architectural design. During this phase, Stevens Construction provided $185,000 is cost-saving suggestions while providing budgets and schedules throughout the process.

The Stevens Construction team includes project manager Mike Alisea, superintendent Gary Tipton and project administrator Morgan Thie. Burt Hill/Pollock Krieg is the architect of record.
