The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with David Mancini & Sons, Inc. to construct a new underground sewer pump station on SE 11 St. west of US 1 / Federal Highway in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Work started this week and the new pump station will replace the existing Sewer Pump Station A-16 that is 120 feet to the west, to accommodate the construction of the new federal courthouse. This project will enhance reliability and improve services for our neighbors. It includes:
Upgrading hydraulic equipment within the pump station
Replacing nearby undersized and aging water and sewer lines
Installing new connections to nearby water and sewer lines
Restoring the surrounding roadway
Construction is expected to be completed in late 2023 and 24-hour operations are planned for the installation of new pipe that cannot be interrupted.
