Construction Partners Inc. has acquired S.E. Cline Construction, a commercial site development and underground utility contractor based in Palm Coast, the civil infrastructure company announced this week.

The acquisition brings approximately 60 employees and a rail-served, permitted hot-mix asphalt plant site in Bunnell to Construction Partners’ portfolio. The newly acquired operations will be integrated into C.W. Roberts Contracting Inc., the company’s Florida platform.

Fred J. Smith III, president and chief executive officer of Construction Partners, said the move builds on the company’s 2025 purchase of P&S Paving Inc. in Daytona Beach.

The acquisition “further strengthens CWR’s presence along Florida’s Interstate 95 corridor,” Smith said in a statement.

Construction Partners noted that the Bunnell asphalt plant site offers opportunities for vertical integration and organic growth for its East Coast operations.

The financial terms of the transaction, which was disclosed in an Oct. 19 Securities and Exchange Commission filing, were not released. Construction Partners operates civil infrastructure projects across eight states, focusing primarily on publicly funded surface infrastructure, including roads and highways.
