Construction of the new Middle School VV campus in Wimauma, Florida, has reached a major milestone with the completion of the project’s structural steel.
B&I Contractors Inc. recently marked the achievement with a topping out ceremony, celebrating the completion of the steel framework and the continued progress of the new school facility.
The milestone recognizes the work of skilled trades, project partners and construction teams involved in advancing the project. With the building structure now in place, crews will continue moving forward with the next phases of construction as the campus takes shape.
Located on the 100-acre West Lake property in South County, adjacent to the newly opened Mogan High School, the new middle school is being developed to support continued growth in the area.The campus is scheduled to open for the 2027-2028 school year and will serve students in grades 6 through 8. The approximately $72 million facility is designed to accommodate up to 1,600 students, helping provide additional educational capacity for the growing South County community.
The topping out ceremony marked an important step toward completion of the school, which will provide new learning spaces and resources for future generations of students.
B&I Contractors said the milestone reflects the collaboration among trades, partners and community stakeholders working to deliver a facility that will serve the region for years to come.
